A petition has been filed seeking a ban on the transfer or sale of assets belonging to the S Alam Group. The petition also requests that a list of all immovable properties owned by the group’s shareholders, directors, and their family members be submitted. Additionally, a request has been made for a travel ban on these individuals.

The High Court bench, comprising Justice Md. Kamrul Hossain Mollah and Justice Kazi Jinot Hakk, is set to hear this petition tomorrow, Thursday (September 19).

It was mentioned that on September 11, the petitioner's lawyer, Md. Rukunuzzaman, sent a legal notice to the relevant authorities requesting necessary information regarding the total amount of loans taken by the shareholders, directors, and other business-related entities of the S Alam Group, as well as their current status and liabilities. This notice was addressed to the Governor of Bangladesh Bank, the Finance Secretary, the Law Secretary, the Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), and the Chairman of S Alam Group, Saiful Alam, among others.
